Our Online Silent Auction is now open! Take some time to browse all of the wonderful items available this year. Chefs of Compassion is our major fundraiser each year, and we depend on your giving spirit and support, to continue the critical work of WVCS. 

 

With your contribution to the silent auction, we can stretch every dollar donated to maximize the benefit and support for our clients. Your donation will be recognized in the program. This donation along with others to the 10th Annual Chefs of Compassion will have an immediate impact on the lives of numerous families facing food and housing insecurity in our community.

Registration Instructions

To register for the Online Silent Auction please follow these short steps:

Step 1: Go to Online Silent Auction Page registration page here 

Step 2: Click the Register button on the Info screen that pops-up when entering the Silent Auction page.

Step 3: Fill out your information including name, email, mailing address, and credit card information (your credit card will not be charged unless you win an item).

Step 4: Once you have completed the required cells, click the “Register” button at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: A window will then pop-up to confirm your registration.

FAQ's

Q: I already registered for the Chefs of Compassion and bought tickets for food and wine. Do I have to register again for the silent auction?

A: Yes, you do need to register for the silent auction separately because these are two different processes. No worries, it will be a quick registration. Please first attempt refreshing the page if you have any issues, but contact us at event@wvcommunityservices.org or call (408) 956-6097 if you have any questions.

 

Q: I clicked Bid, and it asked me to register, so I did. Did my Bid go through or do I need to Bid?

A: Your Bid will go through when you see the green confirmation message on the top right side of the page.

 

Q: I forgot my password, what do I do?

A: Please click on the “forgot my password” and you will receive instructions. Please remember to go back to the Silent Auction site after you have retrieved your log-in details!

 

Q: How do the bidding levels increase? 

A: The bidding levels differ from item to item. Some go up in increments of $5, while others go up by $20.

 

Q: Where can I see the bid increment? 

A: Just under the MAX BID Button.

 

Q: Where can I see the increment values of each item?

A: If you click on the MAX BID you will see the incremental value pop up for each item.

Q: What is MAX BID?

A: MAX BID is the most you are willing to pay for an item. You can enter in your MAX BID price, and it will automatically bid for in increments until your MAX BID price has been reached. If your MAX BID has been outbid by someone else but you are still interesting in the item, you can manually enter a new bid on the Silent Auction page or enter in a new MAX BID price.

Q: I want to pay, what credit cards do you accept?

A: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal

​

Q: What if I am interested in an item, but I don’t want to pay by credit card or have your system save my credit card information?

A: Unfortunately, that will not be possible, credit card reservation is the only method to hold your interest in a silent auction item or package.

​

Q: I want to pay by check, can I?

A: Unfortunately, we are unable to save your bid intention unless you use a credit card.

 

Q: Can I pay later?

A: You will be unable to register if you don't enter your credit card. We would require a payment at the time of purchase.

 

Q: Can you save an item for me?

A: After you are a winner, yes.

 

Q: Will I get an email when I bid?

A: Yes you will get an email confirmation soon after.

 

Q: Will I get an email if I am outbid?

A: Yes.

 

Q: How can I check on the progress of my bid?

A: You will receive a communication via email.

 

Q: How do I know if I won an item?

A: You will receive an email confirmation of your win soon after.

Q: How will I get the item in my hand if I win? 

A: If it is a certificate it will be mailed to you. If it is an item (or certificate of higher value) the silent auction committee will contact you so you receive the item directly.
