FOOD DELIVERY
You will be receiving your food and wine deliveries between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Here are some other important details below.
DOES A PERSON NEED TO BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE THE FOOD? Absolutely yes.
Meals will be delivered at the address provided. Please make sure there is someone above the age of 21 (if wine is requested with the meal) is available to receive the delivery. Please open the door if you are home, or answer your phone and take in your bags.
IMPORTANT: The food cannot be left outside the door for health safety reasons without a cooler. If you plan not to be there to receive the delivery, please leave a cooler outside the door. As you may already know the wine cannot be left outside, or with a minor, by State law.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS THE DELIVERY? If you do not put a cooler outside your door and you are not there to receive it:
-
Please answer your doorbell or your phone, as our drivers will call you. If you do not answer the phone or the door, they will try to reach you again.
-
If you still do not respond, the delivery person will be unable to deliver your bag.
-
They will come to the WVCS office and drop off your bag there.
-
You can then come to the West Valley Community Services’s office (10104 Vista Drive Cupertino, 95014, Cupertino) between 4 pm and 5:30 pm on Friday 4/1/22 to pick up your food and wine package(s).
DINNER PREP: WARMING AND PLATING
(Your food delivery bag will include a welcome packet. Please refer to the welcome packet for detailed instructions on warming and plating therein).
IS THE FOOD FULLY COOKED? HOW DO I WARM UP THE FOOD?
All the food is fully cooked. The menu contains warming instructions. The host and chefs will also guide you with warming instructions during the program. A microwave oven should suffice. If you cannot use a microwave, an oven will work just fine. You only have to warm the food.
HOW DO I PLATE THE COURSES IT AS THE CELEBRITY CHEFS INTENDED?
Keep your plates and bowls out and ready ahead of time, so you don't lose time during the program. In your welcome packet, there will be plating pictures and the host and chefs will guide you to plate the meals during the event too..
Your welcome packet in the delivery bag will have other important information. Please read through it. Put your food in the refrigerator (except the pulled brioche and dinner roll that can remain at room temperature till the event). You can chill your white wine or beverage of choice. Join us for an amazing evening starting at 5:55 p.m.! Please login in early so you don't miss the beginning.

HOW CAN I HAVE THE BEST VIEWING EXPERIENCE?
We recommend dining along with the Appetizer, Entree and Dessert sequence beginning at about 6 p.m., as conducted by the WVCS hosts and chefs. If you are really very hungry prior to 6 p.m., you can start with the starters/ sides - dinner roll and butter pat (which are not part of the chef's competition). Our hosts will walk you through the dinner. To make this a special dinner event we would love for you to take out your best microwaveable china and wine glasses and enjoy the gourmet meal and wine as you listen to us and enjoy the evening.
WILL I BE HEARD OR SEEN ON THE SCREEN?
This is a virtual webcast. You will not be audible or visible to us on camera. But, we will be looking for your comments on the chat box which will be to the right of the live video. We welcome you to engage with other attendees via the chat functionality. We also encourage you to wear your favorite teal, turquoise blue or aqua colors (the theme this year) outfits in the spirit of celebrating our 11th Annual Chefs of Compassion, along with the hundreds of people joining the show. We have some fun activities, so we hope you will dress up! Please send us pictures.
